• Dr. Proudie is a former librarian turned ship's surgeon after being pressed into service by a group of scalawags operating out of the Black Puffin. It was either mend crew, or meet the depths. Dr. Proudie decided to take up the scalpel, bonesaw, laudanum, and a few books of humanoid anatomy.
• Is known to approach the job with a high degree of professionalism. He still greets the day and wounded with an ascot and a relatively well kept smock.
• Is operating out of Leviathan's Spine, several islands that attract scalawags as the jungles outside of the city are inhabited by the terrible thunder lizards.
