Traits

Construct Resilience.
The nutcracker mercenary has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and it is immune to disease. Magic can’t put it to sleep.

Disciplined Aim.
The nutcracker ignores disadvantage on ranged attacks caused by firing at long range.


Actions

Multiattack.
The nutcracker mercenary makes one rifle attack or one bayonet attack.

Bonus Actions

Marksman’s Eye (Recharge 5–6).
The nutcracker mercenary focuses its targeting optics. It adds 1d6 to the next attack roll or damage roll it makes with a rifle before the end of its turn.

Reactions 

Mechanical Brace.
When a creature moves within 5 feet of the nutcracker mercenary, it can set its bayonet, gaining advantage on its next melee attack against that creature before the end of its next turn. 

 Notes 

  •  Nutcracker mercenaries are rifle and bayonet armed living constructs who pride themselves at their professionalism and reputation as deadly shots with their Marksman's Eye ability. They like to fire as many volleys as they can before bracing and engaging with bayonet or sometimes saber if a nutcracker has distinguished themselves.
  •  Performs a number of functions. From protecting the stations that the polar express passes through, from working sentry duty at the Grand Workshop. Nutcracker mercenaries abide by the lifetime contract the original soldiers signed with the Toymaker in the earliest days of the North Pole.
  • Those who learn a natural attack feat typically do bludgeoning damage as they open their wooden mouth and try to 'crack' their targets.
